Barack’s Health Care Plan: A Shared Burden

Since the failure of health care reform in 1993, Americans have been shouldering the burden of rising health care costs while the ranks of the uninsured have swelled to 47 million.  Here in New Hampshire, premiums have risen over four times faster than income since 2000, and 133,000 people are living without health insurance coverage.  With nearly half of all bankruptcies caused by medical expenses, these numbers mean that more and more families are going broke after someone gets sick.

This video shows some of the impact of our health care crisis on New Hampshire families.
