If Joe (and others) only read the blogs, they'd come across the occassional good idea (yes, I'm self praising :-P )

On the stump, he needs to drive home 1 MAJOR point with the "continuation of a Bush 3rd term" argument.....you ready Joe? Here's your zinger....this will get you some front page cover...in the arguement that McCain/Palin don't represent real change, list out all the things that they stand with the Bush administration on...top it off with the direct quote of McCain bragging about his 90% voting record with Bush on Fox News...and sum it up with the homerun zinger:

Insanity:Doing the same thing and expecting a different result

Countdown to McCain on COUNTDOWN

We simply can't keep losing the media battles....I want to call to action everyone to push and spread the word that there should be a Countdown timer set for McCain to appear on Countdown w/ Keith Olberman on MSNBC. Now that Barack has given in to O'Reilly (and helping legitimize him...which is a joke, alone) - Keith should demand the same of McCain and call him out for every single day that he does not appear. How does McCain claim to cross party lines when it's Obama appearing on O'Reilly but we can't find "Mr Maverick" on Countdown?

Someone get this to those people in the know....we must not continue to lose these media battles time and time again. McCain shouldn't get a free ride.

demand EQUAL coverage

I wanted to get this out to all you guys who could help in contacting as many people at the networks....we need to push these networks to provide EQUAL coverage during the RNC. Which means, they need to emphesis on Ron Paul's movement of people that will be in St Paul (considerably MUCH larger and organized than the PUMA members that reporters sought to badly). Also, the storyline that McCain couldn't get over his grudge with Romney enough to pick the second most poplar republican out there who has MUCH more knowlege on the economy than Palin. There were 2 very similar storylines during the DNC that the media seemed intent on fabricating and exploiting. We can not allow these same storylines (which are stronger here) to go unreported simply because it doesn't give them the same knee-jerk-ratings-boost that the Hillary story did. Please make every contact you can and blog to everyone you know to help a movement to push the media for EQUAL COVERAGE. Also, it needs to be confirmed by the media how many times exactly did McCain even meet with Palin before he chose her. If the report that it was just ONE time....this seems mighty reckless and needs to be reported as such....wonder when/if that has ever happened before in history....these stories *must* be reported and covered.Please spread the word.Fired up!Ready to go!:)-Sean

All This Talk About "Obama"

It's kind of funny to hear McCain all week go on and on about how much the media and everyone is talking about Barack and how he feels a bit left out and wonders if the American people do too. The funny thing is, when they go to him for interview or if you reference any of his latest ads....it seems that the Straight Talk Express enjoys talking monolithically about the Democratic Nominee.

It seems quite odd to be caught over-reaching time and time again, complaining about everyone being fixated on Barack Obama, when he can't make a substantive remark about his plans for our future and instead opts to.......*gasp*.....focus on Barack Obama

Have we succeeded or not?

Ok, so I've been sitting and hearing McCain over and over again put words into Barack's mouth regarding withdrawal from Iraq. He continues to say "Obama wants to withdraw in failure" "Barack wants to lose the war in Iraq and retreat" etc...etc...etc....then for about a week straight now, he has a new talking point in-which at every rally, he says very adamantly "my friends, we have succeeded in Iraq....let me be clear, we're not 'succeeding' we have succeedED"... So, my "common sense" flag raises and I ask: If he is so sure that we have succeeded in Iraq - the "well then, why can't we leave" argument aside - how is there a way to possibly "withdraw in failure" or "lose and retreat"? ....How is that even possible? doesn't 1 cancel the other? He is so adamantly pushing this "we have succeeded" message, that you would think this should be screaming out for a correction by SOMEONE in the media or the Obama campaign or something. Because its simply not possible to have it both ways...we can't have won and still lose at the same time... This is all an aside from the fact that: if we've "succeeded"....doesn't that technically put us in the category of "win the war and withdraw"....? McCain is mixing his messages (again) and no one's calling him on it yet.....will they?

George W will be here in Atlanta at a huge Republican fundraiser in Buckhead on Tuesday evening. It is at a private residence off Dumbarton Road (Castlegate & West Paces). The Governor will be there also. What can we do to get people out there along West Paces with Obama signs on this short notice?? It sure would be nice to have a bunch of us out there when the who's who of Georgia GOP are driving in.

Hey guys,

I participated in a great Vote for Change event today. Honk for Obama. It was a very fulfilling experiance. I'm proud to say that I was hoarse afterwards from screaming so much. Although I got a few middle fingers and discouraging gestures, the support from the people honking and waving brought a smile across my face. The two hours set aside for the event didn't seem long enough because they went by really fast. It was 12 o'clock before we knew it. I hope that those that joined me at this event had as much fun today as I did. I hope that we can get together again. God Bless and VOTE FOR CHANGE!!!! BARACK OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT!

Bowling For Obama (update)

Bowling For Obama!! We initially wanted to have a fundraising campaign that capitalized on Barack’s poor bowling skills and spun it to generate a rewarding fundraising campaign for his road to the White House. So: the plan was to start a “bowling for Obama” campaign weekend prior to the PA primaries (that’s 4/18-4/20) and get other local activists throughout the country to partake in event planning for that weekend as well. Utilizing it to now only collect campaign funds to make a large donation – but also to network with local activists/supporters and even allow local venders to donate/sell shirts, buttons, stickers, etc for the Obama campaign. So – that was the plan. Now, we currently have a couple small events taking place throughout the country on that weekend, and I infact have an event taking place on 4/20/08 from 7-9pm at U.S. Play and will have further details to follow. We will begin promotion for this event and hope that everyone can spread the word. However – we don’t want to stop here. We’d like to set up a separate location for the other 2 days of the weekend (4/18 & 4/19) so that we can allow everyone the opportunity to participate. So – from this, is the purpose of this e-mail: I am asking that anyone with connections or the network to assist in ANY WAY POSSIBLE with making this into a success, please contact me. Additionally, if you can make it to the event on 04/20 – please attend and bring some friends :) :) . As we’re still green-behind-the-ears with this entire process, any advice is always welcome as well! :) Please pass this to anyone and everyone you can…I’ll be in touch. Thank you! :)
